 There are several villages around Lake Atitlan: Panajachel, San Pedro la Laguna, San Marcos la Laguna, San Juan la Laguna, Santiago de Atitlan, Santa Cruz la Laguna, Jaibalito, San Antonio Palopo, Santa Catarina Palopo, San Lucas Toliman.

Panajachel is the point where almost everybody arrives at the Lake. It is the end point of the road connection with Antigua and Guatemala City.
